I am a rollercoaster

Different opinions and judgments

You may think I am intimidating

But take the chance

So I can show you

How fun I may be

My life takes many twists and turns

Filled with tears and laughter

Every corner

Having something new

I am unpredictable

At times I may go downhill

But I fight my fears

And steadily bring myself

Back up

I follow all the right paths that were built for me

Sometimes going fast

Or very slow

But always enjoying

Life's unecpected ride

At a certain point

I let go of people in my life 

Watching them walk away from me

But now I make room

For new friends and memories

"Having lived a coney island life on roller coaster ups and downs" is a metaphor that tells readers that there are times in life where a person is in the happiest state of their time-span, and there are times where people go through challenges and battles which can bring a person down.  It's a true statement because roller coasters is a good symbolization of life.

"And seen my helium hopes break skyward without me" tell's us that the writer plans many goals but never had the opportunity to reach them so his hopes and dreams slipped through his hands.  Many people have goals and dreams but haven't strived hard enough to achieve them, but regret it big time when it's to late.

Overall, people go through challenges everyday of their life and have goal's that they have set but it's their choice to overcome it.
